August 2011 - The Final Days as King of the Castle

And then we reached August.  The end of an era.  The last days that Tighe would singularly rule his own kingdom without any worthy challengers.  And what a great run it was.  Those last days were spent with Dad out on the woman-less domain of farm ponds and reservoirs doing what man has done for thousands of years while claiming they are doing errands and other menial chores:  fishing.

Yellowfin Tuna

Blue Marlin

Who says you can't get good sushi in Colorado?  Mom is gonna be so happy!

Reelin' in the Other Lost Year: 2011

As promised earlier, here comes a fast-forward pictorial review of the first half of 2011.  Admittedly, we're pretty photo-challenged for a few of the months, can't imagine why, it's not like we were distracted or anything (insert snarky tone here).  So, we'll knock this off in multiple-month increments in order to speed up the process so we can get to the juicy stuff that has transpired recently.

Reelin' in the Lost Year: The Rest of 2010

So, the last time we saw our hero he was just over two years old, killing it in on that fun Taos adventure, waving at trains, taking in the scenery, eating some dirt.  Obviously, quite a bit has transpired since then.  In order to bring everyone up to speed we've compiled a photo synopsis of the remainder of 2010.  January 2011 thru present will be presented separately tomorrow.  Those events that call for more in-depth coverage will be highlighted in the days to come in individual entries.  But for now, enjoy this pictorial fast-forward with minimalist commentary to bring us all halfway up to speed on the only known Tighe Austin Lynch in captivity.

June 2010
I cleaned up, rocked the rugby look all month long.

Feeling my oats, I pet this random pitbull guard dog at a bbq joint.  The bite wasn't all that bad ... the dog barely flinched.

Closing in on the American land record for pictures taken of a toddler on different merry-go-rounds, I still remembered points for style.  Albino double humper, pretty rare, great find.

"Sure, this train is pretty cool, but it'd be a lot cooler if there was candy ... "

Secure all candy.  Repeat, secure all candy!!!

July 2010

I cruised Loveland Pass with Mommy and The Bu.

Slicked it back and picked up some new habits which ...

... totally did not stunt my growth.

August 2010

Went camping in Steamboat.

Took a dip before calling it quits for the night.

Spent a day on the South Platte river with the clan.

Practiced growling with Momma Bear.

September 2010

SeaWorld in Tampa!

Private showing of the Shamu show, it was killer.

And the record has been broken.

Rocky Mountain National Park.

October 2010

Anderson Farms with Auntie and Uncle was a perfect 10!

Boo at the Zoo.

Buzz Lightyear and Friends.  Today we learned the term "leary".

Seriously, this merry-go-round thing is beyond ridiculous.

November 2010

What better to do on Thanksgiving than completely dismiss the holiday and go to Santa's North Pole Workshop in Colorado Springs.

December 2010

I did this.

I dressed like this.

Then celebrated Christmas with the Southerners.

THEN MOMMY MADE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ...

"Tim, take out the garbage.  Oh yeah, I'm pregnant.  GOTCHA!"

And we all celebrated the good news.

RETURN OF THE TIGHE AUSTIN LYNCH BLOG

It has been over one year since the last entry in this blog, an unacceptable amount of time by all accounts.  Thus, please accept this entry as both an apology and fair notice that the blog has been resurrected and will be updated in the coming days and weeks.  You can expect a multi-part photo sequence to catch up with the present day, and the first fresh entry in the new era of Tighe Austin Lynch's Blog.

Thank you for your patience!
